PEER is an industry based Group Training Organisation (GTO) and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for the construction industry. We employ and train Certificate III apprentices and work closely with South Australian High Schools to deliver Certificate II qualifications to Year 11 and 12 Students.

About the Opportunity

We are currently experiencing a high level of growth and are looking for Electrical Trainers and Assessors. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly valued, however applicants who are currently completing or willing to undertake this qualification are also encouraged to apply.

The core responsibility of the position is to deliver trade based training and upskilling courses, and guidance, mentoring and coaching to PEER learners.

Other responsibilities include :

  • Developing resources and continuous improvement of PEER training material.
  • Developing and maintaining industry relationships and partnerships.
  • Achieving business unit KPI's, in line with PEER strategic objectives.
  • Delivering the highest level of customer service to our learners, clients and staff.
  • Contributing to the provision of a safe working environment.

Skills and experience : Required

  • An Electrical trade qualification
  • Current Australian industry licence
  • Moderate computer skills
  • Working with Children & National Police Checks or an ability to pass
  • Proven track record in inspiring, supporting, motivating people and fostering a positive, creative and rewarding team culture.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide a Covid Vaccination Certificate.

Requirements : Desirable

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), or currently completing, or a willingness to undertake upon employment.
  • Experience within the Vocation Education and Training (VET) industry.
  • Experience working within a quality standards framework environment.
  • Working knowledge of LMS and training administrative systems.
  • Demonstrated current vocational experience.
