Berry Pays Pty Ltd is Queensland's leading berry producer with multiple sites located across the state. Our site at Stanthorpe harvests and packs strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Berry Pays Pty Ltd supply berries to all the major retailers across the country, 365 days a year. Responsibility: Educating, advising and providing information on a wide range of topics relating to strawberries and their protection Examining and advising staff members on food safety, handling and processing procedures Responsible to examine Strawberry Plantation, Growth, Quality of the Fruit and Management of Hygiene. Testing samples of produce for quality, size and purity; Main Tasks: Inspecting Strawberry plants and agricultural produce to identify product quality issues, and providing advice to producers; Auditing and monitoring qualityprocedures at packing shed and food handling and processing facilities to ensure compliance with required standards; Ensuring that required standards of hygiene are observed at storage, processing and packing facilities and in transport vehicles; Identification of pests and diseases and on regulations pertaining to grading, packing and loading of products; Advising on economic aspects of disease eradication and informing producers of the health implications of diseases and impurities; Examining and advising staff members on fruit safety, handling and processing procedures and making quarantine arrangements in place. Relevant Skills: Knowledge of Fruit Handling Knowledge of Quality Control Knowledge of Hygiene Management Work Place Safety Requirements Relevant Qualification: Diploma of Quality Control or Similar.
