About the role We're in search of an Apprentice Mentor who can offer guidance and support to our Apprentices, ensuring they gain the essential knowledge and skills needed to excel as proficient and productive Tradespeople. Responsibilities include:  Supervise and educate Apprentices on correct workplace processes and procedures Help allocate jobs to Apprentices in conjunction with the Workshop Supervisor Inspect and sign off jobs completed by Apprentices to ensure all technical work is carried out to the manufacturers’ requirements Track and monitor Apprentice training schedules and assist with apprenticeship paperwork Ensure apprenticeships are progressing within the specified timeframes and provide quarterly progress reports of each Apprentice to the Service Manager Liaise with registered training organisations (i.e. TAFE) when required Carry out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work on vehicles and trailers Participate in the on-call roster and attend offsite breakdowns Provide exceptional and professional customer service About you: Experience in a similar role at a truck, car, machinery or agricultural dealership Truck mechanic qualification or any other mechanic qualification  Problem-solver, customer-focused, team player, excellent communicator and strong leadership and organisational skills and intermediate computer skills Kenworth or DAF experience (desirable) We also welcome mechanics wanting to progress into a leadership position.  Why join us?
