Cloud Platform Engineer

Long-Term Contract Engagement Technical Leadership in Design, Coding, and Configuration Iconic Australian Enterprise Position Purpose The position will focus on software engineering best practice for Cloud Platform Engineering, with in depth experience GCP platforms and Subject Matter Expert with GCP to support other engineers. The role will: Take the endorsed architecture patterns and be responsible for design, build and implementation of Cloud Platforms solutions with technical leadership in design, coding, and configuration. Drive the discussion, take the leadership and provide guidance to enable our Client to lead the industry in GCP Platform Engineering best practice and support business outcomes. Take the lead to remediate vulnerabilities and security issues within GCP Platform and support other teams Essential Experience Google Cloud Platform technologies and services Security and compliance Engineering concepts Proven experience within GCP building and supporting secure code pipelines, CI/CD, using gitlab Knowledgeable in multiple programming languages and an expert in some - golang preferred Demonstrated experience in developing and managing software/platform solutions Stakeholder engagement and relationship building at all levels of the organisation. Drive new ways of working (Agile) across broader teams. Excellent communication skills, including ability to adjust communication to suit intended audience. Maintains a positive and professional approach during challenging times Demonstrated history of Influencing and driving self-initiated outcomes. Demonstrated collaboratively, shares ideas and information readily with team and others to drive optimal outcomes.
