WODONGA CAMPUS  Patient Service Assistant  Student Enrolled Nurse Program   Positions Available in Women’s and Children’s Services The PSA assists with the provision of woman-centred, family oriented, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team environment. Under the delegation and supervision of a registered nurse, the PSA works collegially with other health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients of the women’s surgical unit and infants in the Special Care Nursery. The student must be currently enrolled at a TAFE undertaking an accredited Diploma of Nursing course. Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) Wodonga Hospital (WH) has positions available for Undergraduate Students of the Diploma in Enrolled Nursing with a view to working in the women’s and children’s division with a focus on supporting the team in caring for women’s surgical patients and infants in the special care nursery. Details: Minimum 6 month contract for a minimum of 0.2 EFT (1 day per week - paid) and up to 0.8 EFT (4 days per week - paid) to fit with study commitments. Successful applicants will be supported to take time off to complete scheduled clinical placements.  Supported orientation and appropriate clinical support will be provided. Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement – 2021-2025 Requirements for applicants: Current enrolment and active engagement in an accredited TAFE Diploma of Nursing Program. Successful applicants must provide at interview a current TAFE transcript (original document) demonstrating successful completion of units undertaken to date and evidence of successful completion of a 2 week placement. Applicants need to be available for interview in October 2023. Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).  Applicants unable to commit to this screening process should not submit an application for employment. Successful applicants will be required to complete mandatory orientation modules using the AWH e-learning system prior to commencing employment.
