If this sounds like you, come and join us! The Operations Command Center Engineer team is accountable for the operation, maintenance of Vocus Networks and Network facilities. It also is accountable for all wholesale and retail service provider customer interactions from a service support perspective and is the owner of the customer experience on Vocus technologies. The T2 Engineer will be accountable to ensure the effective delivery of operational tasks including monitor, log & diagnose, enrichment, manage and resolve/close of all tickets (including change) during the shift period; in addition, they will be responsible for meeting all KPI/OLA and service level requirements. Please note this is a Graduate Position.  This is a full-time, permanent position based fully on-site within our Operations Command Centre located in the Melbourne CBD. Please note, this position works across a 24/7, 365 days rotating shift work roster.    Applicants must hold current Australian citizenship status to meet governmental criteria for NV1 Baseline Clearance, which is essential for this role.     About the role As a hands-on, sleeves-up Graduate OCC Engineer at Vocus, you’ll genuinely love getting the job done for your customers and team mates. You’ll be the difference between Vocus and our competitors.  Here’s a typical day in your life: Resolution of technical issues in a Tier 2 environment adhering to Vocus policy and procedure Work diligently on proactive and reactive tasks and routines to ensure smooth running of the team operations Step up and take imitative during outages and provide support to the management of the team Champion a team culture of inclusion, trust and open communication and encourage disruptive thinking that ties to the team’s strategic vision Work cooperatively with the field teams ensuring customer needs are met About you You must be an Australian citizen as you will need to be eligible to gain a Government Security Clearance - NV1 You must be comfortable with working 24/7, 365 days a year on a shift roster. Knowledge of a telecoms operational environment with a general understanding of I.T, broadband internet Recently completed a Computer Networking Engineer degree Ability to work under own initiative and effectively manage customer and inter-departmental relationships. Ability to prioritize work load in a complex networking environment Proven ability to effectively manage fluctuating workloads and optimize available resources to meet changing priorities and deadlines, putting the customer at the heart of every decision. Dynamically responds to both strategic and tactical operational management requirements.
