HEAVY DUTY DIESEL FITTER • Ashburton Project – off Onslow • Mining Construction and Maintenance • Full time Our Client, Central Systems (Centrals), a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly listed Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), is a leading Western Australian based multi-disciplined contractor providing a complete suite of construction services to the industrial and resource sectors comprising Civil, SMP and NPI disciplines. Central Systems have delivered an impressive track record of projects across Australia on some of the most recognized major resource construction projects. Centrals have an immediate requirement for an experienced Heavy-Duty Fitter to join the team on their project on the Ashburton site, off Onslow. This position works a 3/1 (Dayshift) FIFO roster from Perth or a Residential Roster from Onslow with 12-hour days. DUTIES, STATEMENT & ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Maintain assigned equipment and carry out inspection works to ensure compliance with operational and safety requirements Maintain all required logbooks and inspection reports as per company procedure Report all operational deficiencies and repair strategies to your supervisor Good troubleshooting abilities for a manner of different makes and models of equipment company owned and hired by Central Systems Service equipment and record the works completed and report on condition to your supervisor. Carry out repairs to equipment when required to manufacturers, statutory and company specifications Ability to work on statutory equipment such as cranes, concrete placement boom pumps compressors and elevated work platforms. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine inspections, services on heavy-duty vehicles and Equipment. Undertake routine servicing maintenance and repairs to all plant and heavy equipment as reported on the plant daily inspection checklist/fault report in consultation with their supervisor Ensure collection and collation of all daily plant checklists and propose maintenance in accordance with the checklists and Workshop Program with their supervisor to ensure all plant is repaired to Safe and Operational Status. Provide service Checklists and Condition reports for all Central Systems plant and heavy equipment to the Supervisor to determine timing to repair. Carry out preventative maintenance for all company owned plant and work with drivers, plant operators and other employees on routine inspection and servicing of vehicles, plant and large mobile equipment entrusted to their care, reporting problems to the Supervisor when on Site. Diagnose problems from mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Able to Determine Spare Parts required and Requisition these when required to the Supervisor. Ensure work performed complies with Company standards, appropriate Australian Design Rules (ADR) and State regulations. Interpret manuals and software to identify problems and liaise with the supervisor Correctly use and maintain all personal protective clothing and equipment supplied by Central Systems Plan work so that it is done efficiently and in accordance with equipment availability and industry standards. Be willing to be available to attend out of hour’s breakdowns and vehicle retrievals, if required. Have the necessary experience to work and sign off on Statutory Equipment Logbooks.
