Green Asset Contracts Officer

Position: Contract Officer – Green Asset Location: Logan Central Pay Rate: $42.96/hr Assignment: Temporary, Full-time, 38 hours/week (April 2024 – August 2024, with possibility of extension) Maxima’s Recruitment Services is currently seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of Contract Officer for one of our Local Government clients. Key Responsibilities: As a Green Asset Contracts Officer, you will oversee contractors engaged in various parks maintenance projects across Logan City. Your responsibilities include managing contracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and legislative obligations and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Develop and evaluate tenders, improve specifications, and identify risks. Manage contract administration tasks, including developing Contract Management Plans and monitoring contractor performance. Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Represent department at meetings and workshops. Conduct safety audits and address any non-compliance issues. Assist in project planning, budgeting and financial record-keeping. Requirements: Understanding of local government processes and property administration preferred. Experience in financial, legal, or property-related administration. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and adherence to ethical standards.
