Workforce Extensions Footscray, our valued client is seeking a professional, quality and focused experienced Mechanical Trade Technician/Field Service Technicians to join their growing team. This exciting opportunity will start on dayshift Monday - Friday 7.30am - 3.36pm, payrate will be $45.00ph + Super + Overtime. This is a Temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate. You will be working in the Pre-Delivery service area, also out on the road company vehicle provided. There are opportunities for career advancement and upskilling, you can gain additional qualifications. About the Role: You will be a major part of our team with your main functions being servicing and maintaining our current customers machines, whilst also supporting our workshop technicians. Tasks will include: Carry out work activities as allocated by Workshop Manager including but not limited to routine services, maintenance repairs, major inspections, breakdown assistance, and pre-delivery checks Carry out service repairs at the customer's premises or in the workshop. Ability to diagnose faults. Assist with the preparation of quotations and repair descriptions. Proficient use of tooling and equipment. Support other Service Technicians when needed to get the job done. Mentor and work with apprentices to role model technical skills. Provide technical support for our customers when required. Complete relevant documentation. Ad hoc duties as required from time to time. Key Responsibilities: Carry out mechanical inspections in accordance with manufacturers & OHS requirements. Ensure jobs are logged in the service module and all paperwork is completed daily and handed in for timely processing. Monitoring and recording parts usage. Working at the Dandenong south workshop Experience servicing mechanical equipment or automotive vehicles. Current Car Licence Be physically fit to carry out manual handling tasks. Skills and experience: Be trade qualified - mechanical, hydraulics, fitter and/or auto electrical. - (Is not essential). Demonstrated Hydraulic and Electrical experience. EWP Ticket Compliance with safe work procedures and legislation. Good interpersonal skills - Basic computer skills. Maintain a strong focus on quality and safe work practices. A car License with own reliable transport. High attention to housekeeping and safety High attention to detail and accuracy.
