Facility & Maintenance Manager

About the opportunity

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Facilities procurement management across a national footprint with 19 sites
• Ensure maintenance tasks and projects are compliant with building codes and Work Health Safety & Environment (WHS) as well as state and federal statutory and regulatory requirements
• Drive the development and implementation of a national facilities management and compliance plan, improve procedural consistency by implementation of a facilities handbook/user guide
• Management and responsibility for financial budget, forecast and outcomes
• Contribute to annual maintenance and capital refurbishment plans
• Have the objective to achieve cost synergies from a Group wide approach on any tender process.
• Support the appointment and oversee facilities contracts and suppliers including procurement process for all services across the portfolio
• Link with the management of capital works projects, which will include new acquisitions and redevelopment.
• Oversee regular compliance audits, including closure of audit action items to ensure legislative compliance
• Key contact for all maintenance and building queries

About you To ensure success in this position you will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a facility & maintenance role
• Proven track record in implementing an effective process and framework for large organisations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A can-do attitude and ability to work well in a team to achieve a common goal
• High attention to detail & willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritise own work, and have excellent time management skills.
• Stong IT skills and ability to learn new systems
• Sense of urgency to complete tasks and ability to work to and meet deadlines
• Capacity to proactively manage issues and their causes
• Reliable vehicle and valid drivers licence.
