About the role

The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3-5-year-olds. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

This is a Permanent Full-time position.

Duties

  • Assist the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3-5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
  • Develop a positive and supportive relationship with children.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Work with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with families.

Requirements :

  • Certificate III qualifications (relevant experience in Early Childhood Education is
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
  • Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the Education and Care National Regulations and National Quality Framework and Being, Belonging and Becoming
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
