OHT/Hygienist for Sydney Orthodontic Practice 1 day a week (Mon), with possibility of future additional 1-2 days a week. Oral Health Therapist/ Hygienist: You should have empathy and enjoy working with people, having a positive body language at all times. You should be able to maintain composure during busy times, yet have a proven ability to work well within a team. Whom would fit well: You should be naturally inclined to do small and simple gestures that want to help patients smile. A learning mindset and a desire for continuous improvements. Self motivated with natural bias for action, a team player, and one who leads by example. Able to work with apprehensive children. Confident in relating to both parents and children/teens. Job Description: Helping the Orthodontist, and working with the orthodontic assistant with orthodontic procedures ie: braces/ aligner adjustments towards their new smiles, customer communication, data entry. 1 day a week (Monday), with the possibility of extra 1-2 days a week later. Previous orthodontic experience an advantage. Must be a registered Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist with AHPRA and have own professional indemnity insurance. Skills and experience Good communication skills. Confident in relating to both parents, and children/ teens. Ability to reassure nervous children. Able to use a high speed handpiece. Past experience in ortho an advantage.
