The Product Specialist will support the identification, design, development and implementation of innovative Travel insurance products, benefits and options. This highly visible role shapes A&G’s Travel product strategy and drives growth & market differentiation through the enhancement of existing products & new product development. Accountabilities Reporting to the Head of Travel Product & Underwriting, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing end-to-end product development, ensuring compliance with regulations and meeting customer expectations. Conducting market scans domestically and internationally to propose enhancements to product offerings. Managing and updating customer-facing Travel product materials. Overseeing the review, approval, and upkeep of customer-facing Travel product materials. Assisting the development of business cases for product development and enhancement, in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with Travel Claims and Internal Disputes Resolution teams to address emerging issues and refine policies, coverage, and underwriting processes to benefit customers. Providing input on projects from a Product & Underwriting standpoint and supporting data quality improvements. Knowledge and Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in retail/mass-market insurance, ideally in Underwriting, Product Development, Claims, or Portfolio Management; Travel Insurance background preferred. Previous experience in updating insurance Product Disclosure Statements with high attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, compliance and insurance legislation. Ability to communicate clearly and logically both in writing and verbally, across all levels of the organisation. Ability to respond rapidly and positively to change and to work under pressure to deliver outcomes with competing priorities, both autonomously and in a collaborative team environment. IT literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
