The RoleAs the APS Level 4 - Base Support Officer, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure essential services are delivered and that our Defence Bases and office environments are maintained to a high standard. You will design and recommend solutions, recommending appropriate management strategies to whole of base operational and service delivery issues.You will work independently with reasonable autonomy and be accountable for achieving your deliverables. You will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures. About our TeamOur Directorate is responsible for the operational performance and issue management to support services delivered across Southern NSW and Victorian Defence Establishments. The Kapooka Military Area forms an important part of this Directorate.These services include, but are not limited to, Estate and Building Maintenance; Project Delivery Support; Land, Environment and Heritage Management; Accommodation and Housing; Transport; Waste Management; Hospitality and Catering; Cleaning; Sport and Recreation; Safety, Security and Emergency Management.In order to support a dynamic and diverse capability, the APS 4 Base Support Officer will be required to have well developed organisational skills and a genuine enthusiasm and willingness to learn and apply Defence's Estate legislative obligations, related policies, processes and systems.Our Ideal CandidateThe Service Delivery Division prides itself on its positive, collaborative, and supportive workplace culture.
