Site Supervisor

About the role Ventia are now seeking a Site Supervisor , to oversee the site operations of our Defence Maintenance contract based at the Puckapunyal Military base, located near Seymour, VIC .  Reporting to the Site Manager, this position supports the delivery of maintenance services and overall performance of Trades staff and site operations.  Additionally, the position entails effectively managing a team environment that promotes ownership of creation and completion of jobs allocated. This role requires an individual who enables and encourages a high standard of client outcomes in relation to safety, work orders and healthy relationships.   What you’ll be doing Provide high level, timely and professional advice to the senior leadership team in relation to people and culture strategy, employee relations, change management, HR planning, growth and retention, performance management and organisational development. Appropriate management of Ventia approved subcontractors and suppliers Provide guidance and support to the team leaders and schedulers reporting directly to you. Plan, coordinate and deliver services in accordance with site and service location requirements.  Ensuring technical maintenance tasks are correctly and progressively documented Delivering in productivity, implement and monitor key improvement strategies whilst maintaining a positive workforce. Create and maintain key relationships with colleagues and the client. Work alongside health and safety and facilities manager in maintaining and improving upon OHS requirements.    About You You have previously worked in a similar management position, responsible for the outcomes of numerous trades personnel You consider yourself a people person and an interactive manager with a passion in Human Resourcing and Employee/Industrial Relations  Experience in a supervisory role  Good problem-solving and communicative skills are essential  Australian Citizen and the ability to obtain a Defence Baseline security clearance   What We Offer You We offer flexible working, leave entitlements, salary sacrifice and a competitive salary in a regional area State-of-the-art facilities with the latest equipment will work across a range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD’s, armoured tanks, trucks, tracked vehicles and infantry personnel carriers.
