Supportive Staff and work environment HEW Level 5 $75,182 to $83,594 pa + 13.75% superannuation (Pro rata)     ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY        The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.               ABOUT THE OFFICE        The Institute for Health Research (IHR) is one of three research institutes established by The University of Notre Dame Australia to provide leadership in collaborative research initiatives.  The IHR has a vibrant research focus with strong industry links that seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of the community.  They have diverse research teams working across health disciplines across university schools and in the wider health care system and community.  Academics provide supervision of post-graduate research students and are involved in collaborative studies with other academic and clinical researchers. The IHR is distinctive for providing expertise in the design and analysis of complex health research supported by the Chair of Biostatistics.          ABOUT THE ROLE        This position works in collaboration with Academic and Professional colleagues to provide effective and efficient administrative support for the Institute for Health Research. Reporting to the Deputy Director, with general direction this position will oversee the administrative function within the Institute.        Key Responsibilities        Provide effective and efficient administrative support and assist the Director and Deputy Director in supervising the administrative function within the Institute. Utilising the University’s enterprise systems to coordinate and collaborate with the Director and Academic staff to ensure efficient timetabling and scheduling for research related meetings and teaching functions. Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes and manage correspondence for meetings. Compile and assist with reports, prepare correspondence, submissions, statistical summaries, data sets and returns, and other materiel as required. Assist the Director and/or their delegate with the management and review of policies, procedures, guidelines and forms.         Qualifications, skills & experience        Possession of a degree qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. Demonstrated administrative capability with previous experience within a university or tertiary environment, would be highly desirable. High level proficiency in various software packages, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio), Adobe, In-Design and timetabling programs (Allocate, Sonya), and video-conferencing tools Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, engage and influence stakeholder.
