Our client is seeking a mature, experienced, well presented, organised and highly motivated Store Person/Driver who enjoys being part of a small team. The role is considered an integral part of the company’s continued success and growth.Duties include: Stock receipt and dispatchDeliveries of materials to both commercial building sites and private residencesCoordination of deliveries/logistics with external freight businesses, including interstate deliveriesInventory controlHousekeeping and warehouse maintenanceEquipment maintenance The role reports to the National Projects Manager. You will also work closely with the Managing Director, Proprietor, General Manager as well as sales and administration staff. You will liaise with external suppliers and sub-contractors. Through deliveries and dispatch activities you will also be liaising directly with customers which includes limited hand unloading of materials.CandidateThe successful applicant must have proven skills in the following: Warehouse organisation and managementDispatch activities and customer deliveriesBe organised, proactive, hard working and hands onKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety as it relates to warehouse operations and building sitesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail The successful applicant must have: At least 5 years in a warehouse role preferably within the building construction industryExperience unloading and working with sea freight containers would be an advantageForklift licence (LF class), driver’s licence and a light rigid driver’s licence.
