About the role: Are you an experienced registered nurse looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a healthy work-life balance? KinCare has the perfect opportunity for you! As a KinCare community nurse, you'll play a crucial role in providing essential care to our elderly customers in the Port Macquarie area (with some travel to Kempsey) within the comfort of their own homes. This casual or part-time position requires you to be available for 3 days a week during our business hours, which are typically between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday. In this role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of clinical support services, including wound care, catheter care, medication administration, stoma and bowel care, injections, and clinical management. Additionally, you'll conduct nursing, continence, and dementia screening assessments, while supporting care plans and providing solutions tailored to each customer's individual needs. You'll work closely with families, General Practitioners, and our KinCare team to ensure a holistic approach to our customers' well-being, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. About you: Full AHPRA registration First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain) Must be available minimum 3 regular days per week (between Mon-Fri) Driver’s licence with a reliable and insured vehicle The ability to be flexible, resilient and to make strong decisions Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly - at least 1 year experience in Community nursing would be ideal. Ability to work autonomously Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic and helpful. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills Double COVID vaccinated and willing to undergo a functional assessment.
