In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking scheduled and reactive maintenance, capital projects and ongoing improvements on our roads, footpaths and drainage network across the city. As part of the team, you will also be required to: Perform skilled and specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of Council's roads, footpath and drainage network. Demonstrated ability to operate minor equipment and machinery associated with various works tasks. Provide excellent customer service. Completing various organisational forms. Control of public at worksites. Manage work orders in SAP via a mobile device (iPad). What you bring to your new role Demonstrated commitment to safety. Demonstrated ability to interact with others in a manner conducive to creating a cooperative team environment. Sound physical health to enable you to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of this position. Effective numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position. MR drivers licence. General Construction Induction (white/blue) card. Experience in maintenance and/or construction operations. Please note that the successful applicants will be appointed at the appropriate level based on qualifications, skills and experience between level 3 and level 5 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award - Operational.
