The Role This role is responsible for the delivery of 1st line Risk (1LOA) support for People & Culture, with a specific focus on Payroll governance as well as Regulatory and Compliance Project delivery such as Financial Accountability Regime (FAR). This role will guide, advise and coach stakeholders and managers to make informed and pragmatic business decisions around risk and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities: Manage, advise, and influence applying 3LOA models in cross functional P&C (HR) environments Leading the delivery of various projects including compliance and operational risk Facilitate operational compliance through adherence to quality, governance and control frameworks. Support auditors and ensure delivery of all internal and external audit requirements including processes, data provision and testing requirements as requested. Work proactively with business partners to ensure adherence to best practice processes and assist in delivery of training tools in conjunction with the leaders to drive compliance and risk management in teams (payroll focus). Identify and lead delivery of continuous system and process improvements. To be successful in this role you will possess: Knowledge of the 3 Lines of Accountability model including the linkages between each line, and ability to understand and apply risk management practices, approaches and frameworks A relevant tertiary or post graduate degree in Human Resources or Business discipline Demonstrated experience advising stakeholders and/or delivering change within ASX listed and APRA regulated entities, within the financial services sector Proven capabilities positively working with and coaching, leaders and executives. Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end payroll processes (including recommending regular system reviews and governance). Demonstrated understanding of the application of industrial instruments including Enterprise Agreements Demonstrated understanding of HR practices across the end to end employee lifecycle Experience leading data analysis and system reviews to inform governance practices. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with a strong customer focus and attention to detail In depth understanding of payroll legislation including income tax, payroll tax, workers comp and superannuation.
