We are looking for a litigation lawyer with proven experience and a strong interest in risk management to join our in-house Professional Standards & Risk group as Legal Counsel. This is a permanent part-time role (4 days per week) and we offer flexible hybrid working arrangements. In this role, you will provide advice and expertise on professional obligations, regulatory compliance, and risk issues in legal practice. You will investigate and manage professional indemnity claims and regulatory complaints. You will also help our lawyers in all Australian jurisdictions to prevent and manage risk.Professional Standards & Risk is a collegiate and dynamic team in which every person plays a pivotal role. You will collaborate closely with management and staff in the practice areas of the business and with our shared services.What will you bring? Previous experience and a strong interest in risk management.The ability to quickly establish rapport and communicate with sensitivity and acumen with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, including producing high-quality letters and reports.Sound professional judgement in tailoring solutions and recognising issues that need to be escalated.Strong organisational and time-management skills.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Attention to detail.What next?
