Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Maternity ServicesIndicative Total Remuneration: $171,200 - $182,243 - Temp F/T (over a 7 day roster, up to 7/2/2025) - MDP3 OverviewJoining the dedicated team of health care professionals within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology care. Managing patients in collaboration with Consultants, GP Obstetricians, Midwives, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals, you will participate in a range of clinics. You will attend Antenatal Clinics, including GP Shared Care Clinics and High-Risk Pregnancy Clinics, and manage acute and elective births in consultation with Midwives, GP Obstetricians and Consultant Obstetricians. You will participate in Gynaecology operating lists across two sites, Mount Barker and South Coast District Hospital (6 per month), including a registrar-only list to facilitate your increasing independence. It is expected you will gain proficiency up to level 5 laparoscopy, vaginal and hysteroscopic surgery, including incontinence procedures, and gain proficiency in urodynamics with twice-monthly urodynamic clinics. You will attend to gynaecology outpatients in private rooms including colposcopy, along with the Early Pregnancy Unit and IUD clinic run on a weekly basis. This role will allow you to move towards independent practice as a transition to completion of FRANZCOG training.Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration. Demonstrating sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary medical practice and procedures appropriate to the level of the position, you will be skilled in problem solving and decision making at both the clinical and the individual level.
