About the team The Western Australia State Office incorporates staff from multiple divisions in the Department. It has a positive culture which values professionalism, integrity and collaboration. The opportunity This is an exciting opportunity which oversees the administration functions in the Perth State Office and provides administrative support to the WA State Manager. The role will provide the opportunity to engage with internal and external stakeholders and undertake a number of different functions including property issues, assisting with recruitment activities, organisation of meetings and planning days and providing support to grants management staff. Our ideal candidate The ideal attributes we are looking for: Strong communicator who is able to deliver clear messages both verbally and in writing, Exercise sound judgement in decision making. Strong attention to detail. Able to quickly develop skills to use the department's ICT applications. Work independently or under limited guidance.  Excellent prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to demonstrate empathy to your dealings with people from diverse backgrounds. What you will do Coordinate and manage various administrative tasks to ensure effective communication and information flow. Keep senior staff informed, escalating issues as necessary and applying judgement to contribute to solutions. Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders providing advice and support resolution of issues. Undertake data analysis and record management activities. Assist Program delivery teams by undertaking program delivery and grant management activities; and Use internal systems and ensure input of quality information and data. Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department applicants must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level. Notes A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.  The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles.
