About the Role : What you need to succeed : The Digital and Virtual Learning team delivers the Technologies learning area to approximately 80 small schools across Queensland. As the Education Officer - Technologies, you will have responsibility for undertaking the following key tasks:

  • provide a comprehensive teaching, assessment, and reporting service that inspires innovation and meets diverse community expectations.
  • develop and enhance teaching strategies for differentiated learning, critical thinking, and inclusive education for students with varying abilities.
  • collaborate with colleagues to evaluate and refine online teaching programs, ensuring productive and engaging learning environments.
  • implement effective behaviour management strategies, maintaining discipline in a respectful and fair manner.
  • promote safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology in educational practices.
  • engage in assessment moderation and use student data to inform and adapt teaching strategies for improved learning outcomes.
  • contribute to team dynamics, maintain effective communication with students and staff, and actively participate in professional development.
