About us

At Disability Premium Support, we pride ourselves on our key worker model and our approach to person centered support. Due to exponential growth within our organisation, we have several vacancies in various suburbs across Melbourne for Disability Support Workers.

Our Disability Support Workers help our participants to accomplish their NDIS goals through assistance with personal care, meal preparation, assistance with domestic tasks and companionship. You will support these individuals to increase their capacity and to help them live a fulfilled and self-sufficient life.

About the opportunity

We currently have vacancies for experienced Disability Workers to support our participant in Bentleigh and you will be required work the following weekly schedule: Sunday 10:30-2:00pm

Our participant is non verbal and uses a manual wheelchair and hoists. You will be assisting them with personal care, transport, meal preparation and domestic tasks.

About you

You will be committed to providing exceptional support aligning with our company values while demonstrating excellent communication skills with all stakeholders involved.

You will draw upon your professional skills and demonstrate empathy, humanity and care to support our participants with their journey towards recovery and leading a self-sufficient and fulfilling life.

Key selection criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Availability for a minimum of 4 days per week
  • Minimum probationary driver’s license and fully comprehensive car insurance
  • Evidence of COVID booster vaccination or valid medical exemption

A Certificate IV in Disability/related field will be highly regarded as well as lived or professional experience in the mental health field.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to manage an individual case load and perform tasks autonomously
  • The ability to write clear and concise comprehensive case notes
  • Commitment to providing exceptional support and excellent communication skills

You must also have/be willing to obtain for the following:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children's Check
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate
