Job description AdvancedMPS are looking for Open Pit Mining Engineers with 10 years open pit experience. Reporting to the Mining Engineering Manager, you will be working closely with other AdvancedMPS consultants and various clients to provide production engineering expertise. This position may involve a combination of FIFO and office based work and may provide opportunities for international travel. Roles and Responsibilities Complete drill and blast design work on-site or from the Perth office Assist clients with on-site production engineering requirements Assist clients with short to medium term planning and scheduling requirements Assist AMPS Senior Consultants with client technical department optimisations & system implementations Provide Engineering input for the development and improvement of AMPS training courses and LiveMine software Selection Criteria Qualifications and Experience 3+ years mine engineering experience   Degree (bachelor / masters) in mining engineering Strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace Previous experience in 3 or more commodities    A current Australian manual driver’s license Understanding of the fundamental concepts of mine design, planning and scheduling process  Experience in Surpac / Deswick / Datamine software      Previous exposure to consulting, drill and blast design, daily / weekly mine production planning, mine / stockpile / dump design     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Passionate about learning new technical skills and a keen interest in improving your knowledge Provides support and collaborates with team members Works with energy and enthusiasm Open minded and adaptable to work changes and environment Clearly conveys information through well-developed communication skills Ability to follow procedures, work autonomously and be self-motivated Ability to gain background knowledge to support and promote the excellent services that LiveMine and AdvancedMPS can offer clients Effective time management skills; the ability to complete routine tasks, deal with multiple and urgent priorities, and project manage work flows What we offer We offer an attractive salary package Opportunity for international travel Training in various mine design software packages and engineer specific courses Ongoing support, mentoring, and training Professional development opportunities This role will include FIFO work on various rosters.
