The Role & Project Reporting to the General Manager this critical leadership role is responsible for the overall project delivery and its resources. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional backed by extensive experience managing medium-large scale construction project. Responsibilities of the Role: Review, prepare and formalise project tenders. Develop project costing and schedule. Prepare and issue the project monthly report inclusive of safety, engineering, procurement, quality, HR, cost and schedule status. Liaise with and manage the project client to ensure Company outcomes are achieved. Negotiate contract terms, pricing and payment schedule, ensuring that the agreements with the vendors / suppliers are commercially advantageous. Intervene, analyse, manage and resolve business conflicts between the Company and the vendors / suppliers. Conduct project technical, safety and commercial risk reviews. Interpret and clarify contract specifications/drawings. Direct and guide project personnel on engineering, contract and commercial matters. Review project progress and performance of personnel. Monitor contract works disputes and negotiate commercially satisfactory outcomes. Recruit and maintain the required personnel to ensure project delivery. Regular visits to the project site. Enforces and implements all aspects of the project and company HSEQ plans, programs and regulations across the entire project including staff, employees, plant, equipment, subcontractors, supplies and service providers. Qualifications & Experience: Suitable Engineering degree. Proven experience in the engineering and construction industry (10 years +) with demonstrated experience in project management and construction leadership. Experience in commercial negotiations. Knowledge of WA Mines Legislation. Experience in engaging with clients and employees ensuring understanding and compliance of OHS Regulations, Acts and Workers Compensation legislation. Proven Experience managing multi-discipline engineering project teams. Intermediate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Suite. Experience in Gantt Chart development and interpretation. Experience working with Project Costing Systems.
