About the role Reporting to the General Manager Residential Care, Quality and Education Coordinator will drive continual improvement with a focus on face to face learning & development to lead LHG’s specialised training program, to build capability, increase and maintain motivation and drive service excellence in our workforce. The core responsibilities include working with the Quality Team to develop and deliver specialised training modules based upon best practice, identified trends, audit results and project requirements. The Quality and Education Coordinator will be responsible for: Providing guidance in documentation/recording to ensure care and services provided meets expected outcomes. Identification and planning for areas of concerns for employees which can require further education. Coordination of completing regular monthly residential care Audits and data analysis . About you Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration or Relevant Quality assurance & Training skill base Sound knowledge base relating to the Aged Care Quality Standards, the Aged Care Act, The Quality Care Principles and Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes Knowledge of and experience in Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes and accreditation requirements Previous experience in education Project management experience Proven leadership skills and effective time management and problem solving skills Well-developed interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal.  Includes the ability to deal with consumer and staff information confidentially and with sensitivity; presentation techniques and report writing Demonstrated ability to implement and evaluate education within a community, aged care or acute health care setting Ability to work as part of a team and assist in the development of the team Ability to work with minimal supervision and to work autonomously Accuracy and attention to detail Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Previous experience in Aged Care Quality and Safety review processes (desirable) Previous experience in Aged Care Auditing will be highly regarded (desirable). Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring the current Flu vaccination, COVID-19 vaccinations (2 doses and 1 booster), and current NDIS worker clearance.
