Senior Financial Accountant - Construction

Large company with opportunity Group reporting, revenue analysis and business partnering Multinational construction & engineering organisation North Shore, $130K - $150K + Super Senior Financial Accountant - Construction - North Shore Company Background Our client is a globally recognised name in the construction space. They have a strong pipeline of projects in the APAC region. The corporate finance team is an impressive, technical powerhouse and the hiring managers are mainly Big 4 trained and/or have a strong track record of achievement. They are looking for career-minded, collaborative individuals who will fit the existing culture they have cultivated.  The Role This role reports to the Group Finance Manager and is responsible for: Perform monthly corporate overhead analysis – investigation and commentary on actual versus budgeted expenditure and liaison with Functional Heads Working with business unit managers to coordinate monthly forecasting, quarterly review and annual budgeting process Analysis and reporting of staff utilisation on various projects and tenders Assist in the preparation of financial input book for UK reporting and associated work papers Review various accounting treatments and preparation of year-end disclosures Review and reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as prepayments, accrued income, accrued expenses, provisions and clearing accounts Prepare and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, consolidation elimination, one-off large transactions Perform monthly profit and loss and balance sheet variance analysis Your Background To be considered for this role you will be fully CA or CPA qualified. You will already be a strong technical accountant with experience in: Monthly management reporting including P&L, Cashflow and balance sheet Annual financial statement preparation Strong knowledge of local accounting standards demonstrated on your resume Ideally, the client is looking to hire candidates who have a foundation in their career, working for a reputable accounting firm. This is their first preference for a hire.
