The purpose of this role is to support the Compliance Manager with the delivery of the Compliance Framework.

Key Accountabilities include : Providing support to the Compliance Manager in:

  • Identifying all appropriate external regulatory and compliance requirements and supporting the business to comply
  • Providing support to the business in ensuring all employees and intermediaries comply with compliance obligations, policies and processes,
  • Monitoring the regulatory landscape, assessing trends and interpreting how these will affect the business.
  • The Management of the Australian Sanctions Program including assessing queries, running sanctions checks, liaising with the Global Team and attending quarterly meetings.
  • Management and update of Compliance Annual Training program for all staff including developing the annual calendar and forwarding to the GGB-AU Risk Committee for approval
  • Projects and Business queries including management and rectification
  • Management and update of the Compliance Policies and procedures including implementation because of annual review or for statutory/regulatory change
  • Update intranet in line with any policies and procedures changes due to annual review of statutory/regulatory change
  • Promoting appropriate compliance behaviour and culture by the effective communication and dissemination of compliance strategy policies and processes.
  • The development of any quarterly reports for the wider business
  • Supporting key projects with compliance advice, providing technical compliance review of new products / schemes and binders, review and challenge the business responses.
  • Support with reviews of Gallagher’s Professional Standards and adhere to Global Standards of Business Conduct
  • Attendance at Industry forums, as appropriate.

  • Tertiary qualifications

Experience within a similar role or within the financial services industry is desirable but not essential
