Deckhand - Heavy Works

The Position We currently have a vacancy for a Deckhand on one of our heavy works vessels. We are looking for a self-motivated deckhand that will thrive working with the high-performing and dynamic team that operate this vessel. Based at Dover and Margate, but working across multiple sites in beautiful locations, this casual position will be working on a 7/7 roster (7 days on, 7 days off!). This will see the successful applicant only work 21 weeks out of the year! We provide on-shore crew accommodation for your rostered shift for you to utilise if needed. In addition, you may be required to stay onboard overnight with vessel accommodation provided. As a Deckhand and along with your teammates, you will travel around our sites completing daily duties, such as: Lease maintenance Working onboard vessels up to 52 meters in length Loading and unloading of supplies, generators, and compressors Smolt (baby fish) transport and input to the fish pens Helping out with growing Salmon and the variety of operations that are associated with this General maintenance and upkeep of various equipment including the vessels Using and operating deck componentry including capstans, deck winches and cranes About you We are looking for a hands-on, self-motivated person that is passionate about salmon with the following attributes for success: A great, can-do attitude Exposure to an on-water environment (This could be prior work experience or fishing on the weekend) Physically fit Coxswains 1 (preferred) ESS & DMLA (desirable) Commitment to safety Current drivers' license Have the right to work full time in Australia Benefits for you 7/7 roster (7 days on, 7 days off!)
