Are you our next rising star?     Join our team as the Cashier Services Supervisor at The Star Brisbane.     Our breathtaking resort, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will commence a staged opening in 2024, bringing a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre to the river city.     The Cashier Services Supervisor reports to the Cashier Services Duty Manager. You will coordinate and lead the cashier team to ensure the smooth operation of our financial transactions and cash handling processes, all while adhering to the System of Accounting and Internal Control regulations. You will also ensure a high guest focus and deliver timely, effective, and efficient services to meet their needs.     This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver thrilling and memorable guest experiences in a safe and secure environment.   A few of your responsibilities   • Assist the Cashier Services Duty Manager in the daily coordination and operation of the Casino Safety Deposit Box and Keno   • Establish and maintain patron accounts in compliance with the System of Accounting and Internal Controls   • Support in accounting for inventory, including local and foreign currency, coin, cheques, chips, documents, and records   • Respond to guest enquiries and concerns, ensuring they have a positive experience   • Assist with people planning requirements including Training & Development and Recruitment activities     What are we looking for   • Demonstrated experience leading a team   • Extensive experience in a highly regulated cash handling environment   • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally   • Thorough understanding of regulations and laws as they relate to our business     About you   As the Cashier Services Supervisor, you will have a team leadership background, ideally within a cash handling or cashiering environment. Your passion for building lasting relationships through strong communication skills will see you lead by example and deliver excellent guest service. With proficiency in System of Accounting and Internal Controls, you will be confident in establishing and maintaining patron accounts in compliance with all regulatory requirements.     Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our Cashier operations at The Star Brisbane.
