The Role: Our client is a Regional Base Hospital with a catchment area of over 1 million square km's they currently have an exciting opportunity for an Obs and Gynae Senior Registrar to join their dedicated team. Remuneration Package $139,104 - $173,871 You will be expected to provide high quality clinical services, under the guidance and supervision of specialist staff, through the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. Approximately 800 deliveries per annum.  About 60 per cent of women delivering are Indigenous. The delivery rates do not truly reflect the clinical workload. The case mix is varied and includes a high pre-term delivery rate and serious maternal morbidity with infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus, renal disease, and rheumatic heart disease.   The Location: A thriving, spirited outback centre, a location that is as famous for the personality of its locals and contemporary and traditional art as the natural wonders. Rainbow Valley, to the south, reveals a shifting palette of sandstone colours throughout the day - a photographer's dream.  Skills & Qualifications required:   Essential Eligible for medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia Successfully completed Part One (or equivalent) of the requirements for admission to a fellowship of a specialist medical college and be within two full time years of completion of the training program and working towards a recognised specialist qualification. Ability to work as part of a team and able to directly manage and supervise junior staff. Good verbal skills and good written skills.
