$75,000 - $80,000 + Super + Performance Bonuses

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow the client base and reputation of Think Renewable
  • Meet & communicate with clients & determine needs
  • Assess site suitability and identify specific challenges
  • Identify suitable hardware options
  • Design effective solar power solutions for clients taking into account site limitations
  • Detail specifications, equipment, outputs & pricing of proposed systems
  • Determine & ensure compliance with Australian standards
  • Maintain knowledge of industry, equipment, options & competitors

Specific Duties of the Position

SALES

  • Promote the products and services of Think Renewable to clients
  • Work in territory allocated by Think Renewable
  • Generate leads to enter the opportunity pipeline by event/Expo promotions and direct contact. Ensure that leads generated meet specific criteria as laid out by Think Renewable.
  • Provide on-site solar energy assessments for clients and effectively educate them on the range of solar and battery solutions available to meet their specific energy needs in the context of the suitability of their site for solar energy solution uptake. Make recommendations to meet specific client needs and expectations.
  • Maintain sufficient industry knowledge of the energy market and its variable energy tariffs, metering, and pricing structures that the retailers and distributed network service providers have in the relevant areas. Maintain sufficient knowledge of Feed in Tariffs that are being offered that can affect solar savings for clients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local, state and national incentives for solar energy uptake.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of solar panels, inverters and battery solutions that Think Renewable offer its clients. Be aware of the current equipment and capabilities of energy solutions offered by our competitors and be able to compare and contrast the benefits of our solutions with clients.
  • Design solar and/or battery solutions using software as provided by Think Renewable to create proposal’s for clients
  • Prepare quotes, proposals and/or sales presentations to present to clients
  • Negotiate with clients on pricing, system options, time frames and credit terms.
  • Attend regular training sessions when required for Think Renewable in person or online
  • Maintain client records and keep this information confidential
  • Manage opportunity pipeline from new lead through to post installation feedback and servicing questions. Build rapport with clients to develop the brand image of Think Renewable within and beyond our client base. The job is not done until the system is installed and operational and the client is happy.
  • Follow up with prospective client in the pipeline process on a regular and consistent basis
  • Provide feedback as required to lead generator sales consultants on lead data and quality
  • Track KPI’s and client conversion rates and outcomes
  • Report to management in relation to inputs, outputs and KPIs.
  • Report to management in relation to industry changes, new competitors, new equipment options, changing client expectations and other factors impacting sales.

OPERATIONS

  • Creating weekly and daily plans
  • Generating 1, 3, 12-month business plans
  • Ensuring all required WH&S and compliance procedures are in place
  • Provide accurate and timely information to management

PEOPLE

  • Assist with training lead generation staff members

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Relevant to the Position

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, communication, sales, marketing, behavioural science, renewable energy solutions, electrical systems, engineering, etc or relevant significant experience in a similar role.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a technical sales role
  • Exceptional product and industry knowledge
  • Ability to relate highly technical information in layman’s terms
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and build relationship with other stakeholders
  • Ability to address problems within team
  • A passion for renewable energy solutions.
  • A background knowledge of renewable energy, engineering or electrical installations.
  • Highly developed communication and organisational skills, including time management and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • An ability to analyse, prioritise and use initiative to solve problems.
