About the role

We are seeking a Sunshine Coast based Regional Development Specialist who will be responsible for maximising fundraising opportunities, community engagement and raising awareness of Cancer Council Queensland’s mission within your region.

With support and oversight from the Statewide Development Manager, the Regional Development Specialist works to deliver key fundraising and engagement strategies.

This position is a critical frontline manager within the Growth & Impact Unit, experienced in fundraising, partnerships and/or relationship management to increase our impact statewide.

Tactically, you will contribute to growth strategies for your specific region and provide guidance, advice, and reporting to deliver on these strategies. The position is accountable to fundraising and engagement KPIs, engagement and commercial strategy development within your region, risk, quality and compliance, and stakeholder liaison both internally and externally.

This role is Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week).

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Essential_
  • A valid Australian Drivers' License (Open or Provisional - for motor vehicles)
  • Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Commitment to providing effective support to peers
  • Experience delivering and achieving targets
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Desirable_
  • Experience in a similar role in a not-for-profit organisation in Australia
  • Relevant higher education degree
  • Demonstrated commitment to for purpose organisations
