JLT act as the Fund Administration Agent (FAA) to the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund (the Fund). The Department of Treasury and Finance (the Department) administers the Fund to provide a whole-of-government approach to funding and managing the insurable liabilities of inner Budget agencies. Our team delivers services to the Fund and its Agencies through Executive account stewardship by the Senior Management Team and proactive management of claims, facilitated by our in-house Claims Management Team. JLT is seeking a Claims Consultant to join our growing Workers Compensation team based in Hobart on a full-time permanent basis. What can you expect? The purpose of this role is to perform all administrative functions required in the claims process for all TRMF claims, delivering positive outcomes for the client in line with the business objectives and the performance indicators agreed.  This would include: Case load management Claims lodgment Claims payments including follow ups on invoices Claims finalisation and file closures Claims processing & administration Medicolegal report requests Legal referrals under instruction Other administration duties as required to service the fund. In this role you will be responsible for: Workers Compensation Claim Processes Claims payments Reporting Responding to queries Quality assurance and meeting agreed SLAs What you need to have: Minimum 3+  years’ experience in the workers compensation industry (preferred Tasmanian) Knowledge of Tasmanian workers compensation legislation High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise important tasks. Understanding of medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Excellent negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills A demonstrated ability to manage a variety of stakeholders including health practitioners, allied health providers and employers, with empathy, integrity and tact. A strong client focus. Experience and expertise in the provision of advice and customer service within the workers compensation sector. Ability to work autonomously and in a small team environment.
