Role description: Due to consistent growth in our Urban Development business, we are looking for a career and client focused individual to support the projects of our growing team in Australia. Role accountabilities: Managing client and contractor interfaces through construction inspections and contract administration of selected civil design projects; Providing onsite engineering support doing site inspections and overseeing quality assurance and safety of selected urban development or Defence projects; Actively support the business in pursuing new work opportunities; Maintaining ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders, and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project; Contributing to the resolution of technical issues on projects and providing technical guidance to other team members providing input on risk assessments and technical review reporting; Ensuring installation works in the field are being undertaken in accordance with the project specification and appropriate design standards; Leading the design and project management of small and medium sized projects and/or assist on large sized projects and therefore interact with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimum outcomes; Driving project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertaking reviews, ensuring client delivery is above expectation; and   Actively assist in the development of junior engineers. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and want to be part of city-shaping projects. You are a tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in urban development design and come to us with: Relevant degree (preferably in Civil Engineering) recognised by a relevant Industry Association or Institute – Chartered professional status or equivalent and a post graduate qualification will be highly regarded, or alternatively, are actively working towards chartership; 7+ years’ relevant experience working in project delivery of residential subdivisions, Defence infrastructure projects or other civil infrastructure projects;   Defence force veterans would be considered favorably; Australian Government Security Clearance will be highly regarded; In depth understanding and application of the design principles for earthworks, roadworks, stormwater drainage and utility services in both greenfield and brownfield landscapes; Demonstrated experience in the management and coordination of multiple disciplines  in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects; Sound technical construction experience in contracts administration; Demonstrated site inspection/auditing experience with a strong safety awareness; Experience with software programs such as 12d, DRAINS and MUSIC are an advantage;   Ability to negotiate, network and communicate eloquently on industry-specific matters; and   Proven understanding of local government, state government and Federal government/ Defence standards and guidelines required for planning and development.
