Sr Product Marketing Manager, APAC - SME EDGE DERMSThis leadership role aims to be the cornerstone to accelerate the growth of Itron’s Outcomes Electricity Business in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, establishing Itron as a leader in EDGE Distributed Energy Resources Management Systems (DERMS). The primary focus is on bringing these outcomes to fruition in the market, fostering collaboration across sales, product, and delivery teams.This individual will work hand by hand with our Product Marketing, Line of Business and Business Development teams to cultivate our presence in the electricity market across the Asia Pacific region, initially with a significant emphasis on Australia. Reporting directly to the regional market development and solution strategy leadership, this role mainly interfaces with the global product management and strategy teams. Success Criteria include:·Effectively Launching Solutions into the Market to Drive Customer Adoption·Fostering revenue growth of Outcomes DERMS solutions in the APAC region.·Establishing Itron as a leading authority in EDGE DERMS solutions.·Mapping out the strategic direction for upselling and future opportunities.·Identifying potential markets and offering (pricing, commercial models, requirements, messaging, value proposition) guidance.·Lead strategic positioning of our DERMS solutions by comprehensively understand market stakeholders, drivers, adoption barriers, competition, and other relevant factors.Key responsibilities:·Play a pivotal role in the market development leadership team, spearheading the development of a strategic market perspective and leading the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Itron’s EDGE and Local Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) solution in the APAC market.·Assisting the technical sales team in consolidating requirements and ensuring APAC needs are integrated into Itron’s global roadmap strategy.·Supporting sales efforts to generate pipeline and accelerate solution adoption, including providing marketing collateral and support to sales teams.·Establishing and executing effective market influencing strategies, alongside influencing the utility/aggregators industry.·Formulating strategic partnerships and commercial strategies to further drive success.Strategic market perspective includes: Conducting market and competitive analysis, segmentation, and identifying achievable segments for Itron.Prioritizing segments and defining winning strategies encompassing pricing, competitive analysis, partnerships, solutions, and communication plans.Defining Itron’s DERMS solution and value proposition in APAC and consolidating market requirements to support a consistent regional roadmap.Providing support in developing the regional partner strategy for Outcomes in collaboration with partnership, product management, and sales teams. Go-to-market plans and execution: Developing and leading go-to-market plans from solution definition to launch and scaling.Positioning Itron’s DERMS solutions for profitability through a differentiated value proposition, positioning, pricing, and marketing plans.Defining, supporting, and executing marketing leadership activities to continuously enhance the market’s perception of Itron’s brand and solutions.Supporting the creation of solution collateral and awareness through documentation, training, sales toolkits, playbooks, and solution packaging. Early selling support: Developing customer segmentation, profiles, sales playbooks, and standardizing offerings to accelerate adoption.Analyzing the market competitors landscape and developing competitive strategies to differentiate Itron’s position.Providing training for internal staff, partners, and external customers on products, services, and roadmaps. Ongoing support: Collaborating closely with sales and technical sales to facilitate opportunities through the funnel.Staying updated on market changes, providing thought leadership, and delivering regular updates to stakeholders.Contributing to account planning, identifying market needs, and updating roadmaps, pricing targets, or partnerships.Supporting marketing trade shows and conferences as Itron’s product line spokesperson in the region. Required Skills and Experience: Top-tier MBA or equivalent education/experience required with strong analytical skills. Ability to understand market challenges, regulatory frameworks, technical issues, and business/commercial cases.Leadership skills to drive internal and external alignment across diverse stakeholders, including C-level discussions.Deep expertise in electric low-voltage (LV) systems, with a focus on Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs).Understanding of the electricity retailers & aggregators sector.Comprehensive understanding of the electricity system and market dynamics in (but not limited) Australia, including regulatory frameworks and industry trends.Knowledge of utility/city business models, smart grid, ADMS, LV system performance management and integration of EDGE DERMS. Quick learning ability and interest for GRID and EDGE DERMS technologies.5+ years of experience in developing markets and business as a product manager and/or solution strategy manager.Expertise in building go-to-market strategies and value propositions, preferably in the energy sector.Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.Self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills.Experience in consultative selling, market/business development, and business case modelling.
