About the RoleThe Education Futures Institute delivers a suite of flagship programs that are comprehensive professional learning experiences targeted to career junctures. Program design is underpinned by professional standards and contemporary research aligned to the Department of Education's current and emerging strategic priorities and workforce needs. Programs aim to empower Queensland state school staff, educators and leaders and will be co-designed and delivered with internal and external partners, including academic, tertiary and industry leaders.The flagship Middle Leader Program provides current school based middle leaders with the opportunity to develop their expertise in leading improvement through contemporary educational research, contextualised leadership experiences and professional networks and mentoring opportunities.Over the 12-month duration of the program, participants will engage in tailored residential workshops, virtual masterclasses, mentoring and self-paced learning modules. Detailed information about the program can be accessed through the (Department of Education staff only).The Middle Leader program is differentiated into cohorts that align with levels of experience.Applicants for the pilot program must be current middle leaders (Stream 2) that have been a middle leader for less than 2 years.Future cohorts of the program will target experienced middle leaders.Mandatory Requirements: Applicants must be current middle leaders (Stream 2) with the Queensland Department of Education.Applicants must possess full registration with the QLD College of Teachers.
