Our purpose-built facilities in Broome, Fitzroy Crossing, Kununurra, and Derby allow patients to receive high-quality care closer to home. At KRS, we are committed to meeting the needs of the community and ensuring safe, holistic care for renal patients throughout their healthcare journey. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including General Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Aboriginal Health Worker Practitioners, work together to provide exceptional patient care. Job Responsibilities As the Renal Services Manager, you will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of strategic directions for KRS. This includes meeting all contractual requirements, reporting, and compliance with accreditation. You will also oversee the performance of the Kununurra Renal Health Centre, both clinically and operationally, to ensure safe and high-quality care for our patients. You will participate in renal health planning, working towards meeting the community's needs and collaborating with the KRS Leadership Group. Some of your responsibility includes but not limited to: As required assist with the development of services throughout the region. By providing direct leadership, coordination and representation for Kimberley Renal Services in collaboration with the KRS Leadership Management Team. By ensuring KRS has a core direction with the aim “To provide access to renal services in the Kimberley region”. Monitor and review performance of the Renal Health Centre and KRS and provides progress feedback to the KRS Leadership Group. By ensuring all KRS staff are aware of the strategic plan and the role, they play to achieve positive direction. Overseeing the centre comprised of Aboriginal Health Practitioners nurses, preventative care support staff, administrators, patient care assistants, and other support staff, you will lead and develop a team of passionate and caring people that supports each other wherever possible to ensure the most successful treatment and care for their patients. Candidate Profile Our ideal candidate has: Proven experience in managing a large and diverse team with exceptional leadership skills A sound understanding of the principles of good business management Experience in Aboriginal Health Care and a commitment to Aboriginal Community Control of health services A good understanding of cultural safety and the ability to promote a culturally sensitive environment Excellent communication and report writing skills A high level of integrity in maintaining patient and organisational confidentiality Additionally, you will have a current or willingness to obtain a national police clearance and WA driver's licence.
