An exciting opportunity exists for talented and passionate individuals to join the newly formed Precincts and Land Branch as a Senior Policy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The Senior Policy Officer positions sit in the Land Policy and Coordination Team within the Precincts and Land Branch, Economic Policy and State Productivity Group and will support the Land Coordinator General to create the enabling environment to deliver priority government projects that require land and to facilitate a new approach to land policy, regulation, and legislation to support government's priority infrastructure, housing, and jobs objectives. These roles require proactive self-starters with a passion for public policy, a good understanding of government processes and ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment. The successful candidates will demonstrate strong policy, analytical and communication skills. About you As our ideal candidate, you will have: * * Demonstrated experience in policy development, analysis, coordination and reform processes or in the design, delivery, management or assessment of major projects or programs. * Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and ability to identify innovative solutions to complex issues. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to develop project and policy documents and prepare complex briefs and reports. * Highly developed interpersonal, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including the proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. * Demonstrated commitment to a positive team culture and a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
