We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Operations Manager to lead our Operations team in Capalaba, on the Redlands Coast. Join our team of Journey Makers at Transdev Queensland and make a real difference to improving the lives of people travelling on our buses within Brisbane. Transdev Queensland provides passenger bus and school services within the Redland City region with the vision of “Connecting Communities”. The Opportunity  Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will play a key role in the success of Transdev Queensland by leading the most critical team at the Depot including our bus drivers, Control Centre Operators, Customer Service Officers and Network Officers.   The Operations Manager will manage the delivery of a high-performing operations team who delivers safe and reliable bus services in accordance to our policies and procedures. This includes achieving a high-performance culture, adherence and delivery of process in safety, operational and financial objectives, and aiming higher to achieve team objectives and ways of working. As an experienced leader you will play a crucial role in developing and mentoring team members, identifying where process improvement is required, and ensuring customers are at the heart of what we deliver. Your day might include: • Manage a best practice Operations Control Centre. • Oversee weekly staff budgets. • Oversee investigations into operational delivery. • Provide after-hours incident response and support in on-road incidents. • Manage frontline staff in the context of an Enterprise Agreement. • Ensure contract KPIs are met. • Provide operational advice and reporting to the Managing Director. Your Talent: • Relevant Tertiary qualification/s preferred. • Previous experience in aviation, logistics or public transport. • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large multi-disciplined teams in a service delivery role in a blue collar organisation. • Well-developed skills in interpreting and applying legislation, standards, guidelines and policies pertaining to the transport industry. • Experience in developing constructive relationships with all stakeholders. • Ability to communicate and oversee the development and implementation of frontline bus operational activities.
