An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced screen and digital arts professional to join the programming team at Riverside Theatres Parramatta. We’re looking for a passionate cinephile with experience in film distribution, licencing and programming, who also understands the live performing arts sector and thrives in a busy environment.

* About the role

This position is responsible for coordinating Riverside Theatres’ Cinema program and digital performing arts projects. Daily you will:

  • Coordinate the Riverside Cinema program
  • Coordinate Riverside Digital projects
  • Administer and deliver other projects as required including live performances and special events.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with film distribution companies, arts organisations, licencing bodies, artists, stakeholders and audiences.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and promoting Riverside Theatres as a centre of excellence in performing arts, events and exhibitions in Western Sydney region.

About You

Qualifications (Level)

  • Degree in an Arts related discipline or extensive relevant experience.

Experience

  • Significant and relative experience of typically of up to 5 years.
  • Performing arts programming expertise and experience.
  • Experience in the arts and creative industries environment.
  • Experience in negotiating and preparing artist, supplier and contractor agreements.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills including ability to maintain effective interpersonal and professional relationships with staff and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in the performing arts.
  • Advanced understanding of venue and programming systems.
