About the role

Our Care Support Team fills various shifts in our 16 high quality aged care homes across Adelaide. In this role, we offer you the flexibility to achieve your ideal work-life balance, as well as all the benefits of working for a major non-for-profit organisation.

You will be required to work as part of a cohesive team by undertaking general cleaning and catering duties for the provision of high quality catering and housekeeping services, which is vital to the health and well-being of our residents, visitors and staff.

You will remove rubbish, maintain hygiene, dust and polish furniture, clean wet areas and mop, sweep and vacuum floors.

You also will be required to assist in the preparation, cooking, distribution and serving of all types of meals principally for residents but also for visitors, staff and for functions.

About you

With adequate communication skills and a good level of English literacy, you will able to read written instructions and speak in a manner that older people can understand.

You must have good time management skills to manage your workload without direct supervision in order to complete tasks within the allocated time.

All applicants must have previous experience in a cleaning or food handling role.

A basic understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours and a basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards will be highly regarded.
