Access to learning, career development and leadership programs through the Opal HealthCare Academy About the role: The Hospitality Consultant will provide comprehensive, concise and effective information and support to the chefs, kitchen/catering, laundry and cleaning teams in the care communities, as well as General Managers and the home office team on all areas of the hospitality operation.  The role reports to the Head of Operational Excellence. Key outcomes: Grow hospitality capability in the Care Communities in the NSW Central hub Support the General Manager to ensure outstanding customer service across food and beverage, cleaning and laundry. Enhance the dining experience for residents and improve overall food scores Provide expert advice and support on menu creation, budgeting, workflows and practices, resources, equipment and repairs and maintenance. Ensure sound food safety practices and regulatory compliance Monitor food expense and support sound financial management Work within the Opal guidelines, process and practices. Our ideal candidates will demonstrate the following: Trade Qualified in either commercial cookery or food and beverage service Leadership experience Regional or multi-site leaderships of hospitality services Knowledge of commercial catering, commercial cleaning practices and commercial laundries Ability to lead change, projects and programs Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong prioritisation and time management skills Excellent financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret data Diploma in Hospitality (preferred) Diploma in Business (preferred) High level of computer literacy The ability to travel on a regular basis and at short notice is an essential requirement of this position. A large portion of the role will be based out at our care communities. All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance via Opal HealthCare's police check system. You must also be willing to obtain a personal NDISWC through your state government provider prior to commencing employment with us.
