About Behaviour Support and Training: Behaviour Support & Training provides services for people aged 4-65 who use harmful or stigmatising behaviours that impede their quality of life. Behaviour Support and Training use a Positive Behaviour Support framework so that we can understand the meaning of a person’s challenging behaviour and identify strategies to more safely and acceptably meet their needs.

We are committed to working collaboratively towards achieving the goals of our clients. Many of our clients have intellectual disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. We enhance understanding of why harmful and stigmatising behaviours occur, and lead the development and implementation of interventions to better address our clients’ underlying needs. We contribute to research in Positive Behaviour Support and aim to be leaders in this field.

Undertake comprehensive behavioural assessments and develop individualised evidence-based intervention plans for clients utilising a Positive Behaviour Support framework Deliver intervention plans in pursuit of identified clients' goals Monitor, evaluation and review individual intervention plans & programs against clients' goals Write clinical reports and keep appropriate clinical records Liaise with complex stakeholder groups and collaborate with external health practitioners Provide advice to clients and stakeholders about Restrictive Practices in accordance with the Disability Services Act 2006 and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules) 2018 Participate in individual or group supervision, and contribute to peer consultations as requested Practice within the NDIS Practice Standards, and provide services within the parameters of the individual client's Service Agreement Demonstrate commitment to building the capacity of individuals, or staff teams supporting individuals, with a disability

You will: Hold registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or professional registration with other relevant professional body Have previous experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support services Hold criminal history screening clearance to work with children and individual's with a disability Hold a current Driver's license

How to apply: Previous experience providing positive behaviour support services Understanding of functional behavioural assessment and intervention planning Experience working within the NDIS,Mental Health, and/or Child Protection systems Ability to manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders in pursuit of improved quality of life outcomes Participation in clinical supervision.
