Solution Architect

Solution Architect About the Role… This position is a 6 month contract role. As a Solution Architect you will have both a planning and hands on role. The position leads the development and implementation of project solutions within the CIO platform. You will be expected to take ownership of project solutions ensuring they align with enterprise and platform strategies. You will use your technical expertise, organisational abilities and relationship management skills to: Collaborate with business and technology teams to define and select appropriate technology solutions. Guide the design and implementation of technology solutions ensuring alignment with principles and standards. Ensure all technology change passes through governance gates and meets risk appetite. Contribute to improving the enterprise architecture framework. In the role you will work with the CIO Platform Heads, Principal Architect and alongside key business stakeholders and other technology platform teams to deliver changes for Strategic & Transformational programs, roadmaps and business improvement initiatives. Your ultimate goal is to support the implementation of the Great Southern Bank Technology Strategy. About you… 5+ years’ experience in an Architecture role (ideally in banking) Excellent knowledge of technology environments, including infrastructure, software and data Solid understanding of application integration architecture Good understanding of project management principles Demonstrated experience to apply technology solutions to business problems Strong interpersonal, consultative and communication skills Ability to collaborate and work effectively across internal functional areas, as well as with external parties Advanced problem solving skills Tertiary or Industry (e.g. TOGAF) qualification in relevant discipline Professional experience within Information Technology ideally in the financial services industry, ideally across business or divisions.
