You will ensure the approach supports Sunwater’s strategy of Smart Schemes and delivering water for prosperity by enabling improved WHS outcomes, increased scheme efficiency, fair and equitable water sharing, accurate billing and capturing of operational data whilst improving the experience of our customers and ensuring risk of non-compliance is mitigated and managed. This position will take an active role in driving innovation and contributing to the Smart Scheme Strategy and will be responsible for engaging with stakeholders across this program of work. Other key responsibilities will include:- Develop a robust Capital Metering Replacement/Upgrade Program that aligns with Non-Urban Water Measurement Policy and Regulatory requirements and implementation plan. Develop and update the Asset Class Asset Management Plan and asset management strategies for Meters & Telemetry. Drive rationalisation of metering assets where possible to reduce whole of life asset cost where possible and make recommendations as the Subject Matter Expert on Metering Lead and support the identification of potential innovation and process improvements (e.g., Smart Schemes Program) and consider on incorporation into the Sunwater Metering Policy.  About you You will have a high level of interpersonal skills including consultation, negotiation and relationship building skills with the ability to professionally represent Sunwater and its interests.  You will work in a self-directed manner to plan and coordinate work to ensure pre-agreed objectives and deadlines are met. You will also have the ability to effectively represent metering interests to internal and external stakeholders and have a high level of written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to prepare written technical reports, memos, presentations, and other communications in a clear and logical manner. In addition, you will have:- Trade or Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Water Operations or equivalent experience in heavy industry 10 + years’ experience in metering management Certified meter installer accreditation (mandatory) Qualifications in or significant experience in Project Management will be highly regarded Class ‘C’ drivers’ licence We strongly encourage applications from candidates who are seeking flexibility in their work arrangements.
