ABOUT THE ROLE As driver / store-person you will be responsible for the management of deliveries of items from the Craigieburn store; responsibilities will include but not be limited too; Pick-up & delivery of parts to various locations, receipt of inwards goods, warehousing functions performed in a timely and efficient manner to satisfy Fleet Maintenance requirements while ensuring a positive approach to communications is upheld. This role is offered on a full time basis offering a salary package payable in line with the Rolling Stock Enterprise Agreement. Monday-Friday shift 7am-3pm. Flexibility to work occasional weekends if required. Location of this role is based at the Craigieburn Depot and free parking is available. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Stores Responsibilities Support the achievement of Balance Scorecard objectives Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements Ensure the Stores Manager is notified of incorrect deliveries, stock levels, damaged stock or any other warehouse problems detected Ensure the Warehouse is kept clean, safe and operating efficiently at all times Participate in cyclic stock takes as directed Key Driver/Operator Responsibilities Driving the Medium Rigid truck to various depot locations daily or as required to supply and pick-up store items to all Rolling Stock depots and suppliers Driving automatic or manual vehicle to supply and pick-up store items to various depot locations daily or as required Operate forklift and other mechanical equipment as required ABOUT YOU Capability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written) Follow occupational health, safety and environmental procedures in the rail industry Schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to Ability to use Microsoft programs Skill to use corporate main frame Ellipse Previous Warehouse/ Stores experience required Qualifications / licenses Forklift licence Medium Rigid Truck licence Manual car licence WHY WORK FOR METRO Attractive Remuneration: Excellent pay package with laptop and mobile phone Career Progression: Career development support and opportunities to learn new skills within a multi-disciplinary environment Benefits: Free Myki travel across Victoria and other great corporate discounts Work-Life Balance: MTM provides a strong work life balance culture.
