About the Role: To deliver and administer training and assessment of Electrical apprentices in a classroom and  workshop environment.  Duties: Prepare, organise, assist to gather evidence for assessment and deliver the sessions within the agreed number of trainer hours to complete the training in selected units of the Electrical qualifications delivered by the department. Provide advice on resources and equipment prior to and during the training. Maintain a work program including, handouts and text reference. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Comply effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Skills and Experience Required:  Appropriate current vocational qualifications in the specialist area of teaching Vocational currency and demonstrated experience required in the specialist area of teaching Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or its successor) A current Working with Children Check (employee) Hold a current A grade Victorian electrical licence. Demonstrated ability to the develop and maintain records Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated qualities of tact and diplomacy together with a sensitive regard for differing cultures Good knowledge of the central issues in anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety legislation Payment is in the rate of: $82.00 per hour for Casual Teaching -Certificate IV qualified $85.22 per hour for Casual Teaching-Diploma or equivalent (AQF5) teacher training qualified. $88.59 per hour for Casual Teaching-AQF6 teacher training qualified.
